World Scouting and Learning Planet Institute join forces to drive innovation in education and youth leadership
World Scouting and the Learning Planet Institute have signed a three-year partnership agreement that will strengthen learning and leadership opportunities for young people and help shape the future of education worldwide.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to provide transformative learning opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom, that equip young people with the skills and leadership abilities to become active global citizens, changemakers, and lifelong learners. Through this collaboration, the two global organisations will explore innovative approaches that connect formal and non-formal education, and strengthen pathways for youth leadership and civic participation.
Under the partnership, World Scouting and the Learning Planet Institute will work together to develop new approaches to learning and youth leadership. This will include joint participation in major international events and global forums on education, sustainability and youth development.
The two organisations will also influence global discussions on the future of education, including the post-2030 education agenda, and work with partners such as UNESCO and the United Nations Youth Office to advance shared priorities around youth development, global citizenship and non-formal education.
The partnership will also explore emerging issues shaping the future of education and youth engagement, including new forms of volunteering and civic participation, the responsible use of artificial intelligence, and new ways of sharing knowledge and learning. An informal advisory group of experts, educators and youth leaders will support this work, bringing together diverse perspectives to explore new ideas and opportunities for innovation.
Together, World Scouting and the Learning Planet Institute aim to help shape more inclusive, innovative and impactful approaches to education - ensuring young people have the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute to a changing world.
