Today World Scouting is excited to announce the launch of our new and improved website: scout.org!
Over the past year, we have been working to redesign, redevelop and reshape the entire content and technology for our main website to make it a better experience for everyone visiting.
The new site highlights who we are as a global Movement representing 172 National Scout Organizations and 57 million Scouts worldwide. The site also shines a spotlight on what we do in Scouting to impact the lives of young people, volunteers and communities.
Mobile-first website with modern features
The new scout.org offers a more attractive and modern digital experience for all visitors who wants to learn more about Scouting. Some of the key features and upgrades to the website include:
Mobile-first design: The new scout.org is fully responsive on different screen resolutions, and visitors will find it particularly user-friendly on the most common mobile devices.
Engaging content: The newly updated content on scout.org is meant to highlight who we are, what we do, where we work and how young people, volunteers and partners can get involved in Scouting. Browse the site to learn more about Scouting’s initiatives, activities, news and events.
Powerful technology: The website has been built using the latest technology, giving us more flexibility in how we feature content in multiple languages, and making the site faster and easier to access.
Featured videos and stories: Impactfulvideos and stories showcasing community service projects and actions led by Scouts around the world are featured throughout the site highlighting Scouting’s contribution to achieving the the Sustainable Development Goals.
Global events calendar: The new events section on scout.org helps showcase and promote events across the Movement, whether from world, regional or national levels.
National Scout Organization contacts: Visitors can now easily access World Scout Directory information to find country and contact details for the National Scout Organizations nearest you.
Overall, the new scout.org will provide a better experience for Scouts and Member Organizations, as well as all visitors who would like to learn more about Scouting’s educational offerings and how to get involved in the world’s leading educational youth Movement.
