Five years after the Boy Scouts of the Philippines adopted the World Scout Environment Programme (WSEP), a total of 649 applications for the WSEP badge has been approved for 2016 alone. WSEP is based on a set of environmental principles and aims that provide a foundation for environment education in Scouting. It offers tools and initiatives to help Scouts how their day-to-day actions can have positive impact on environment.

Several programs, activities and trainings have been lined up for 2017 as BSP looks forward to hitting 5,000 awardees of the World Scout Environment Badge.
