World Scouting welcomes the adoption of the UN Security Council Resolution 2535 on Youth, Peace and Security. The resolution which was unanimously adopted seeks to recognize, encourage and protect the agency of youth in peace-building, civic spaces, humanitarian response, peace processes and more.

On the 5th anniversary of adopting the historic United Nations Security Council’s Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security, World Scouting continues to champion the global #Youth4Peace agenda and works to empower more young people to become Messengers of Peace in their communities. The Scout Movement strongly believes that young people have innovative ideas, great commitment and willingness to build, and they should be actively included in peace building, decision-making, and problem-solving for a better world.
