Brunei’s Cubboree

As centennial cub Scouting worldwide is celebrated this year, several countries are preparing for something special, and Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association is one of them.

At the 4th Brunei Darussalam Cubboree on 18-23 March 2016, over 600 cub Scouts participated including from Malaysia, as well as two observers from Singapore.

“The application of knowledge, life skills, values and discipline need to be applied to the children at their young age because they will create big impact when they grow up,” said Minister of Education, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman.

The minister noted the theme ‘Start from Us’ is very significant in education – especially when it involves admission from primary school.

Aside from the various range of activities, a visit to Bandar Seri Begawan have been made giving the participants an opportunity to visit the Royal Regalia Building, Malay Technology Museum, and the Maritime Museum.
