Scouts de España and Disney Pixar bring Up to 15 000 children

Over 15.000 children and young people enjoyed and participated in several activities Scouts de España and Disney Pixar developed the 4th and 5th of july at cinemas in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza and Malaga, promoting Up, a new animated movie where the Scout's values take a main role.
The agreement between Disney Pixar and Scouts de España achieved a double objective: on one hand, thousands of children have become familiar with the very special characters that will be soon in theaters and, on the other hand, Scout groups have showcased their actions in their neighborhoods and cities.
“The activities have been a success”, one of the participants in Málaga, from Scouts de Andalucía, said, and added "the balloons and budgets attracted hundreds of boys and girls, whose parents also came to learn more about us". The same happened in other cities, where Scout volunteers made models, and performed fun dances and songs.
By the end of July a new partnership with Disney Pixar and Ábaco Cinebox would let Scouts de España be present on the screens along with all the merchandising during the movie premiere of Up throughout the country.
In addition, Scouts de España will encourage children who still do not know about Scouting and will offer them some places in a scout camp. In every theatre, two places will be drawn to attend Easter camp and let children share with young Scouts new experiences.
Up is a comedy about the adventures of a 78-year-old salesman, Carl Fredricksen, who finally fufills his lifelong dream of a living a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to South America. But he discovers too late that his biggest nightmare has followed him on the trip: an overly optimistic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer Scout named Rusell.
