The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals are one of Scouting's top priorities. In support of this global goal, the UN has established the Ocean Decade (2021-2030) to strengthen science and protect our oceans. This initiative seeks to strengthen knowledge and action to meet the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, prioritizing marine conservation, pollution reduction and sustainable fisheries.
 
Let's join forces for the Ocean Decade: June 8 - July 8, 2024
 
In celebration of World Oceans Day, we invite all National Scout Organizations (NSOs) and Scouts at the regional level to join us in the Ocean Decade campaign. Throughout the month of June until July 8, 2024, we will become spokespersons for the Ocean Decade, promoting knowledge and conservation of the oceans, seas and marine resources through awareness and education about the importance of this valuable resource for humanity.

Promote on Social Networks:

  • Share your activities and photos on social networks, don't forget to tag @Scoutiar on instagram. 
  • Use the ready-to-publish designs that you will find here.
 
Educate and Raise Awareness:
  • Hold informative sessions about the importance of marine conservation.
  • Organize community events to engage more people in this cause.
