History of the World Scout Jamboree
Scouting’s founder, Robert Baden-Powell, envisioned a special event open to Scouts from all nationalities. This led to the first World Scout Jamboree, which was held in 1920 at London's Olympia in the United Kingdom. It was attended by 8,000 Scouts from 34 countries. Since then, the World Scout Jamboree has been held every four years and hosted all over the world.
