World Scout Centre
Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Kandersteg International Scout Centre — better known as KISC — is the only recognised World Scout Centre. Close to nature and away from every day distractions, it is the ideal place to pitch a tent under the stars, climb mountains, swim in alpine lakes, and enjoy beautiful sunsets.
A Unique Experience for International Scouting
KISC was inspired by the founder of the Scout Movement, Robert Baden-Powell, and his dream of a Permanent Mini Jamboree where Scouts from all over the world could come together and be inspired to create a better world. KISC has lived up to this vision by strengthening sustainability and peace through international Scouting.
Building Friendships and Cultural Exchange
Since 1923, KISC has fostered unity, collaboration, and friendship among young people to show what is possible when different cultures, nationalities and backgrounds are brought together. Today, Scouts can build amazing memories there by booking a camp or applying to work or volunteer at KISC.
Kander 100
KISC is celebrating its 100th birthday in 2023, and is marking the milestone by inviting Scouts to join a once-in-a-lifetime Jamboree from 27 July to 8 August in Switzerland. Participants can take part in a wide range of activities, including hiking, local cultural experiences, social cafes, educational workshops, and much much more.
Join the Pinkies!
