Over 8,000 lives have so far been lost, including thousands of children, with the death toll set to rise.
World Scouting firmly opposes violence and calls for an immediate end to all hostilities, ensuring the safety and protection of civilians and respecting human dignity. World Scouting is particularly concerned about the welfare of children and youth, and stands ready to support the delivery and promotion of our core message of peace and aid humanitarian efforts.
In the face of unimaginable dangers, Scouts continue to support humanitarian efforts on the ground, mobilising for rescue and evacuation efforts, and providing first aid to the injured and mental health support to children and families impacted.
