Central American Scout Summit in Panama.

Again, the leaders of Scouting in Central America met to hold its summit.

The World Scout Bureau, Interamerican Region, served as the venue for this important summit brought together leaders of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama.

As in the last Central American Summits the first day is devoted to a workshop-seminar on a topic of great importance. This time the issue addressed was the Protection of Children and Adolescents in Scouting. Scouts of Panama carried out the work to get some local exhibitors, from the National Secretariat for Children, Youth and Family, who spoke about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and relevant local legislation respecting the rights enshrined in this Convention.Complementary , in the seminar was discussed the importance of proper selection of adults in Scouting and the need for National Scout Policy that promote a culture of protection of children and adolescents.
The second day was held the Summit itself, in which each participating association presented the most relevant aspects that are taking place, sharing success stories and upcoming events.
