United Kingdom to host 44th World Scout Conference in 2027

The 43rd World Scout Conference voted today to award The Scout Association the right to host the 44th World Scout Conference in 2027. The next Conference in the United Kingdom will build on the decisions taken during the 43rd World Scout Conference to increase youth engagement and continue to innovate World Scouting’s convening of Member Organizations.

The UK hasn't hosted the World Scout Conference since 1979. The 44th World Scout Conference would mark the return of the conference to London for the first time since the first Conference in 1920.

The World Scout Conference is the governing body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. The Conference takes place every three years and provides an opportunity for 176 National Scout Organizations to play an active role in shaping the standards, policies and shared goals of the Scout Movement worldwide. 

The 44th World Scout Conference will choose venues that champion sustainability and are committed to ambitious environmental targets. Their vision aligns with World Scouting’s goal to become climate-neutral by 2033, fostering a collective effort towards climate action. Additionally, we will showcase the feasibility of sustainable practices, encouraging other organisations and cities to follow.
