In August 2014, the 40th World Scout Conference was held in Libubliana, Eslovenia. The Strategy for Scouting that was approved includes:

• World Scout Mission
• Vision 2023
• 6 Stragetic Priorities.

The World Scout Mission is the same statement approved at the 35th World Scout Conference in Durban, South Africa.

“The Mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young
people, Through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.”

The 2023 Vision was formulated with the help and collaboration of many persons from many different parts of the World. In the year prior to the Conference they were given the task to draft the text that the Conference would approve.

“By 2023 Scouting will be the world’s leading educational youth movement, enabling 100 million young people to be active citizens creating positive change in their communities and in the world based on shared values.”

The following are the 6 strategic priorities:

Youth Engagement, Educational Methods, Diversity and Inclusion, Social Impact, Communication and External Relations and the last one Governance.

The Vision that Scouting has now commits us to grow. We can only become 100 million scouts around the world if each of us does what is necessary for this Movement that we enjoy, and reach more and more children and youth, making a positive impact in their lives.

We have a current and relevant proposal that can be attractive to many kids and young people of both genders, different social classes, distinctive cultures and various religions to be part of this Big Game while Creating a Better World.

We have to do something for Scouting that can be seen by the society daily, so that our image of what we are is more accurate, a social taskforce that makes a positive changes in our communities. With pride we have to tell our great story, its actual scope and above all the great potential it has in the creation of a culture of peace. I am certain that in this way we will increase the membership of this fraternity.
