About DP Santos

DP is taking up his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Bulacan State University, where he headed various initiatives related to youth empowerment, health promotion and organization development programs. As a young Filipino volunteering and helping to improve the lives of the youth, he serves as the Program Officer for Youth Leadership Development Initiatives of the Philippine Leadership and Empowerment Alliance for Development Inc. (PH-LEAD Inc.), a leading national development organization in the Philippines recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) of the National Youth Commission (NYC) that aims to provide adventure-based challenge activities and development programs infused with servant leadership and volunteerism concept for students, out-of-school youths, and young professionals from around the region and nearby strategic locations.
DP is also the Executive Officer of the Hagonoy Young Leaders Program – a brainchild project of the Ayala Young Leaders Congress and youth organization in Hagonoy, Bulacan that aims to develop a critical mass of values-based young servant leaders who will lead the different sectors of the society (government, church, academe, private businesses, non-government organizations).
In 2010, he was awarded as the Outstanding Scout of the Year and recognized as the Ambassador of Mother Earth given by San Pedro National High School. Moreover, in 2011, he received a Certificate of Commendation for his valuable contribution and commendable service as a Scout Correspondent of the National Service Team during the 15th National Scout Jamboree.
With his stint in Boy Scout of the Philippines, he is involved in planning, promoting and implementing institutional, municipal and provincial scouting events in the adoption of BSP program policy. He was a volunteer Assistant Outfit Advisor and Merit Badge Councilor from 2010 to Present, providing assistance to different Institutional Senior Scout Organizations in the Province of Bulacan.
He is also the Region III Convenor and Area Command Representative of Northern Luzon Command of the National Youth Leaders Congress (NYLC). The NYLC is part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines stakeholder engagement with the youth sector, intended to provide youth leadership development activities which will provide them with avenues and opportunities to harness their activism, idealism, and enthusiasm for nation building programs and peace development initiatives
He has been a delegate for both national and international youth gatherings such as FOI Youth Congress 2014, National Youth Leaders Congress, International Youth Leaders Conference 2014, National Youth Congress 2013, ADB-RMAF Youth Dialogue: Social Innovation as Catalyst for Change, 26th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree and 14th National Scout Jamboree
A health advocate and a Servant Leader, DP is frequently invited to speak, facilitate, organize events/ programs related on youth leadership and development, community empowerment, scouting and peace development initiatives, project management, health promotion, and organizational development all over the Philippines.
DP believes in the power of the youth and continues to pay it forward for his community, for the country and for God.
