In Lithuania, young people with disabilities, from families with very low incomes, had the opportunity to experience Scouting during the Lithuanian Scout Jamboree, thanks to funding received from the World Bank. The Jamboree took place in the summer of 2003. The 20 young people with disabilities were fully integrated into the camp, supported by able-bodied Scouts. Scouting in Lithuania hopes to extend its work with young people with disabilities in the future. A programme has been developed and funding is now being sought. (August 2004)
