Two new resource materials in the area of Adult Resources are now available for downloading in our Resource Centre.

The Training Systems Toolkit is a major new tool to help associations with the design and renewal of adult training systems. It is the result of almost two years work, which included several working sessions, expert exchanges, research and the gathering of good practices from associations in 17 countries.

For some time we have been aware of the challenges that many associations face in ensuring that their training systems are fit for purpose. The Toolkit has been produced to provide inspiration and assistance to those who work in the field of adult resources, and specifically for those who are tasked with the design or renewal of the training systems for adult volunteers in their association.

The material on 'Trends in Volunteering' is produced to raise awareness of external trends in Europe that have an impact on how we recruit, retain and recognise adult volunteers. The document explores how trends can be threats as well as opportunities. It also serves to remind associations of the need to track, collect and respond to your own local, regional and national trends.

Aimed at those involved in the management of adult resources, it is hoped that the document will help motivate associations to look at the external trends that affect how adults volunteer and how your association can respond accordingly, helping to define your future strategic approach to adult recruitment, retention and recognition.
