APR FoundationThe Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement covers an area of more than 21 million sq km and a population of 1.9 billion. With a total membership of 25 million in 2010, the Asia-Pacific Region has 83% of the World's Scouting population, and still, a large number of young people are to be reached. The Foundation started with an initial donation of US$10,000.00 from Scouts of China during the APR Scout Committee meeting held at the 19th World Scout Jamboree in Korea in 1991. Total funds reached US$1.78 M as of 31 December 2010. However, there is a great need to increase this amount to be able to provide sustainable support to the development of young people and the community.
