Doing Gender in Scouting

This research document is part of the implementation of the policy "Girls and Boys, Women and Men in Scouting" adopted by the World Scout Conference in 1999. It is a pilot study for future educational follow-up of the strategic priority 'Girls and Boys, Women and Men' established in 2002 by the World Scout Conference. The study presented in this report was conducted by Professor Harriet Bjerrum Nielsen, from the Centre for Women's Studies and Gender Research at the University of Oslo, in collaboration with Scout leaders from different countries who worked as research assistants.
