Regional Chairman Jejomar C Binay conferred the Indonesia's highest Scouting honor

Indonesian President H.E. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono conferred the Lencana Melati Award on Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee Chairman Jejomar C Binay during the Indonesian Scout Day at the National Scout Training Centre, Cibubur, east of Jakarta, on 14th of August 2008.
Among the regional leaders who received the award on the same day were Brunei Darussalam National Scout Association President Pehin Ali Daud, World Scout Bureau/Asia-Pacific Regional Director Abdullah Rasheed, State Commissioner of Johor Malaysia Haji Yacob and Mellacca State Commissioner Haji Abdul.
The Lencana Melati is the highest Scouting award of the Gerakan Pramuka.
