Being a volunteer means giving oneself wholeheartedly,that is giving one's time,talent,and sometimes money for the betterment of the scouting.It requires commitment.

The Conept i believe is giving Time, Patience, Teaching, leading, guiding and selflessness with out being rewarded financially for it.

To volunteer to a group that you are passionate about, feeds the soul. My only complaint is all the red tape that surrounds it sometimes. A more streamlined process would attract more volunteers.

Firstly I loved scouts as a Cub and I just wanted to give something back but I found that I loved it even more as a cub leader and even after 20 years I still love it and cant do enough to repay the great times I have had over that period.

I am over committed as a Cub scout leader in training, But the positive changes I see in all the youth members ( including my 10yo) uphold
