The King of Sweden congratulates the participants of the "Gift for Peace" project in France

His Majesty King Carl Gustaf XVI of Sweden, Honorary President of the World Scout Foundation, this week visited Sarcelles, France to meet with a group of local Scouts (aged between 18-25) and get a first-hand view of the social impact of Scouting by the Scouts and Guides of France. In the theme of the Centenary, it was on this occasion that the King of Sweden gave them a certificate officially recognising their project as a 'Gift for Peace'.

The day continued in the company of the King of Sweden, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where, in the presence of Jean-François Lamour, Minister for Youth, Sports and Community Life, guests made a toast to the 100th Anniversary of Scouting.
