Wayne Perry, new member of the World Scout Committee

Wayne M. Perry has been unanimously co-opted by the World Scout Committee to replace Steve Fossett who, for reasons linked to his personal adventurous activities that are well known to the worldwide public, had asked to be be allowed to step down as a member of the Committee. Despite his departure from the World Committee, Steve Fossett remains very attached to the Movement, and we eagerly await news of new successful exploits.

Wayne is a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He has a good knowledge of the Scout Movement both at a local level (he was a Cub Scout and Scout leader in Seattle) and at a national level as a member of the National Executive Board. He has been International Commissioner of the BSA since May 2006. He will serve as a member of the World Committee until the next World Conference in July 2008. Wayne is the Chief Executive Officer of a cellular telecommunications company in Washington State.
