RSC Chairman leads CNV mission in Pakistan

The second in the series of the on-going Committee NSO Visit (CNV) was held in Pakistan from 15th to 17th May 2008 headed by Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee Chairman Jejomar C Binay along with committee member Mr Prakorb Mukura and Mr Syed Pervez Ali Shah Jillani.

In this three-day visit, the team met with Pakistan Boy Scouts Association (PBSA) Chief Commissioner and former Federal Minister of Education of the Government of Pakistan Lt. Gen. Javed Ashraf and carefully reviewed the eight-point CNV mission working guideline starting with the PBSA achievements and challenges including their efforts made toward resources development, self-reliance, membership growth and rovering promotion across the country.

Another highlight of the visit was the meeting the team had with the young people who themselves re-enforced the need to sustain attractive youth programme, better headquarters premises, and image building. Even listening to the opinions of non-Scout college and post graduate young people on Scouting and how it would improve further was such an educating and a real eye-opener for the team and local key leaders.

This series of the CNV Mission is an on-going activity of the Regional Scout Committee to hold a dialogue with every member country in the region under the 3-year period.
