APR Events

The Asia-Pacific Scout Jamboree is a major Scouting event which aimed at giving additional opportunity to young people between the ages 12 to 17 years old. For 2012, the Sri Lanka Scout Association will be hosting the 29th APR Scout Jamboree in conjunction with the 100 Years of Scouting in Sri Lanka.

 

In line with the principle of Scouting, that Scouting is for all, without any exclusion including young people with special needs, giving them the right to be Scouts, respected and treated like every other member of the troop, the Asia-Pacific Regional Office in collaboration with Scouts of Australia is inviting key leaders from National Scout Organizations to participate in the APR Workshop on Scouting for Young People with Special Needs on 6-9 April 2012, in Perth Australia.

Nepal Scouts is inviting all National Scout Organizations and climbing enthusiasts to take part in the “Baden Powell Scout Peak Climb 2012”. “Baden Powell Scout Peak”, or locally known as “Urkema Peak” is 5,890 meters high, situated in the Lantang Valley in the north of Kathmandu. It was named by the Government of Nepal after our Founder to mark the centenary celebration of World Scouting Movement in 2007.

 

Being the host country of the 24th APR Scout Conference on 24-29 November 2012, Bangladesh Scouts is extending its invitation to all National Scout Organizations around the world.
