Scouts of the World Agreements
The Scouts of the World Award is implemented by National Scout Organizations which have agreed to the conditions of use of the programme. The Scouts of the World Agreements have been produced in order to provide support to NSOs that are implementing the programme and offer the possibility to NSOs to take commercial opportunities with the aim to develop the SW Award.
They are two types of agreements: SW Award Pack 1 for non-commercial use and SW Award Pack 2 for commercial use. The Agreements can be downloaded from here:
- SW Award Pack 1 (non-commercial use)
- SW Award Pack 2 (commercial use)
If you are currently implementing the SW Award, please have the appropriate national leader complete and sign the form and post two copies to us at the address below. We will then sign both copies, keeping one for our records here at the World Scout Bureau and return the other copy to you. The Agreements are signed by the Secretary General of WOSM.
If you are not yet implementing the SW Award, please share this information with the National Programme Commissioner so that they can consider including this international initiative as part of the educational programme for young people (over 15 years old).
There are several resources that have been developed in order to help your National Scout Organization with the implementation of the SW Award within the Rover Scout programme. i.e. SW Award Guidelines, the SW Kit, etc. You can find a copy of all these materials here.
Currently there are thousands of young people working on their SW Award worldwide, from peace projects to international co-operation initiatives, the SW Award is helping young adults to create a better world. Some NSOs have increased their membership in the Rover Scout section by using the SW Award!
