Rover Service the 2nd Marathon Narciso López Hospital

Neighborhood Hospital Narciso López de Lanús, in the framework of its 75th Anniversary, carried on the 2nd edition of the Marathon Healthy, free and open participation, on Sunday September 9, 2012 at 10:00 am.The event consisted of a 7 KM Competitive Marathon a 3.5 KM, Recreational Walk and Kids Run - Walk for the youngest of 0.5 KM.The Rover Community "Peumayen" were summoned to attend the service as flaggers.Our tasks involved were:- Assist in the reception and registration desk;- Relief for marathoners;- Trace the path;- Mark with flags;- Anticipating change of route to motorists;- Get to the Run - Walk Kids category;- Making Medal and bags with goodies to the children present.General Information:The primary objective of this activity is to provide social and recreational community space integration and development of healthy lifestyle promotion and health prevention. In addition, the Hospital plans to open its doors to the community to share a time of relaxation and well being, in order to achieve the neighbors not come to the hospital only when they need health care.Participants were dry-fit shirts, hydration, recovery kit includes cereal, yogurt, fruit and sports drinks and participatory medals. The top three in each of the categories of competitive Marathon were awarded trophies, medals and plaques, and in the case of the top five overall male and female category also received purchase orders. The audit was conducted by the renowned and prestigious Osvaldo Suárez Athletic Association. Also, it was available during the course of the event different health posts in the Central Hall Hospital, in which health professionals of the institution took medieron pressure and body mass index and glucose.
