The only way to honor this Great Man is not only to believe in His Ideals and Values but UNLESS WE LIVE THEM, the world around us will judge us when our time comes!

The World like the Scouts agree:
Nelson Mandela's unwavering courage, forgiveness and hope touched and inspired people all around the world. He showed that we can make change happen and that the dream of a fair society is possible. In an extraordinary 2005 speech in London, Mandela challenged us to fight poverty, injustice and gross inequality and said, "Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom." The finest honor that we could offer to his memory is to be that generation.

Am I the Messenger of Peace that the "Baobad" lived and demonstrated?

"...Let the next three months be a time, not for mourning because MADIBA lived his life to the fullest to leave us a model but also a challenge, but rather and foremost a time for reflection and Scout actions to pay tribute to the defender of human dignity.

Let us gather in our patrols, teams, schools, neighborhoods, on scout.org Facebook, etc. to share our initiatives and let us make of them the springboard of good intentions and actions, as well as prayers that accompany the soul of MADIBA to the divine and eternal rest!..."
- Frederic Tutu Kama-Kama, Regional Director, World Scout Bureau - Africa Regional Office
