Planting A Seed

12th Feb 2013

This is my Eagle Project. It was to design and construct an outdoor worship area at a local private school.  Had to prep a 13.5' Cross that was made out of telephone poles, several of us carried it from the location it had been stored at to the location where it would be placed into the ground, then put a cement base around it. We then put benches together, placed them, then installed and secured them into the ground so they couldn't be moved.  We landscaped around and down the sides of the area.  This area had nothing but trees and very hard ground.  It is now a beautiful, peaceful area that is used by students that go to that school, teachers and administrators, and visiting schools.  Groups of student meetings gather there.  All in all, it was to be a place that people could go and reflect, a place where the outside world is left out.  A place of serenity in the center of all the hussle and bussle that goes on in the lives of our youths and adults. Btu most importantly it was a way to honor God.
