Thank you for your participation in Eurasia 4th Regional Conference!

1st Jan 2010

Dear Secretary General,
Dear colleagues at the World Scout Bureau,
Dear Members of the World Scout Committee,
Dear guests of Eurasia 4th Regional Conference,

On behalf of the Eurasia Regional Committee let us extend our sincere gratitude to each one of you for allocating time and extending your support by attending a very important and strategic event for our region - the 4th Eurasia Regional Conference.

You would agree that the region is young, but with this successful conference we have managed to set the priorities that would move our development and strengthening of our NSOs further. The first ever Eurasia Youth Forum has planted a seed of empowerment among our Scout youth and once again proved the necessity of their involvement in defining the Regional Strategy of the Scout Movement.

Hence we would use the opportunity to acknowledge the former chairman - Bagrat Yesayan (fortunately remaining as an active member of the Committee), who has indeed invested a lot in putting the Region back on the spot and it is now a positive challenge for the Eurasia Regional Committee with its new leadership and composition to build on and extend the accrued benefits of these initiatives. Our deep appreciation also goes out to Namik Jafarov (former vice-chairman) and we sincerely hope to retain his spirit in further work of the committee!

Brothers and Sisters, by having hosted you during the conference, witnessing your interest and support, we believe that Eurasia Region will continue strengthening and soon enough will claim to be a region uniting upscaling, developing and attractive National Scout Organizations!
Once again, please accept our hearty acknowledgments and we hope to build strong and effective relationships and collaboration in achievement of our common goal: [Through Scouting] - leaving the world a better place to live than we found it!

Once again thank you for your participation and valuable support,

Yours in Scouting,

Igor Ivanov
Chairman of the Eurasia Regional Scout Committee
