The 10th edition of the Educational Methods Forum, held from 11 to 15 October 2023 in Skopje, marked a significant milestone in the journey of European scouting. With 74 participants from 26 countries representing scout organizations, the event unfolded as a vibrant platform for collaboration, innovation, and shared learning.

Following the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, this edition of the Forum emerged as a beacon of hope and renewal for Scout leaders and volunteers. Eager to address local needs, foster partnerships, and explore new avenues for youth engagement, participants embarked on a five-day journey brimming with insightful sessions and interactive discussions.

The Forum's agenda was meticulously crafted to embrace a wide spectrum of subjects, spanning from environmental sustainability, a pivotal element within the Earth Tribe project supported by the Erasmus+ programme, to digitalisation, well-being in scouting, and Safe from Harm initiatives. Particularly noteworthy was the resonance of the Earth Tribe initiative, drawing considerable interest and underscoring the escalating dedication of Scout organizations to environmental stewardship and conservation efforts.

One of the defining features of the 2023 edition was its emphasis on fostering collaboration and cooperation among attendees. Educationalists, trainers, and volunteer managers actively exchanged ideas, shared best practices, and forged meaningful partnerships to enrich the educational landscape of European scouting.

The success of the Forum can be attributed to the collective effort and enthusiasm of participants, as well as the meticulous planning by the organising team and the gracious hospitality of the North Macedonian hosts. Together, they created a safe and dynamic environment where shared experiences, and networks forged and innovative ideas translated into actionable strategies.
