Over a thousand Scouts from all over Thimphu, Bhutan participated in boot camps organised by Bhutan Scouts Association (BSA) to revive Scouting following the pandemic’s lockdowns which limited large physical activities and gatherings.

Scouts in the Nazhoen Scouting section joined the advancement boot camp which they eagerly attended in order to get their membership badge. A total of 1,179 Scouts from 14 Thimphu schools took part in the series of camps. This was one of Bhutan's first large-scale Scout advancement activity series. BSA collaborated with the Ministry of Education Department of Youth & Sports to make this happen.

The boot camp was held in five phases which started on 20 May 2022 in different schools across Bhutan. Interested Nazhoen Scouts were invited to advance their rank in Scouting. During the phase two of the boot camp a differently abled Scout fulfilled all requirements to advance to the next rank.

Aside from the boot camps for Nazhoen Scouts, the Maugalbu Camp was held for Scouts who were registered as membership Scouts but were unable to advance to the next rank due to the lack of Scouting assessments in Thimphu. The Maugalbu Camp took place from 3-5 June. A total of 123 Scouts from eight different schools attended the camp, and they all achieved their rank advancement for Nazhoen Scouting section.
