Bangladesh exerts conscientious efforts to strengthen major areas

A five-day Consultancy Visit, related to Global Support, is currently held at the National Headquarters of Bangladesh Scouts in Dhaka, from 27 to 31 August 2014.
The visit is based on the present needs of Bangladesh Scouts, aims to strengthen the areas of Organizational Development, Adults in Scouting, and the Youth Programme. Therefore, the working meeting targets to finalize the Code of Conduct and Appraisal System for adult leaders; to propose the flexible effective Adult Training Schemes to cover training needs for all adults; and to establish Sectional/Final Educational Objectives of the advancement/progressive badge schemes for Cub, Scout, and Rover Sections.
The Consultancy Visit-Work Team is comprised of APR Team headed by Regional Director J. Rizal C. Pangilinan, Malcolm Tan (Singapore), Berthold Sinaulan (Indonesia), Thian Hiong-Boon and S Prassanna Shrivastava from APR Office; while the Bangladesh Scouts Team is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sayadul Islam Mullick, with advisor Md. Habibul Alam BP, and about 20 prominent leaders, professional Scout Executives and young adults.
The Bangladesh Scouts held ‘Commitment Ceremony’ for newly appointed 15 National Commissioners on 20th August 2014, presided by the Chief National Commissioner, Dr Md. Mozammel Haque Khan, witnessed by its newly elected President, Mr Md. Abul Kalam Azad and other key leaders.
It is hope that the expected results could lead Bangladesh Scouts to becoming one of the effective National Scout Organizations in the Asia-Pacific Region.
