ONE SIMPLE PENCIL, MANY GREAT THOUGHTS - TEAM POLH
Today during the 3-hour session on resolution drafting, team Polh has been extremely excited and busy with drafting resolutions and proposing amendments on the triennial plan.
We have proposed 2 amendments, seconded one amendment and brought forward 1 resolution to be voted in the Youth Forum.
First amendment we proposed regards to the educational methods, we hope that the NSOs can involve their young members in the World Scout Education Congress, that is having youth in the delegations rather than only programme or training commissioners.
Second amendment is proposed in regards to the educational methods, we suggest the World Scout Committee to conduct a review on the process of the concept of the World Scout Moot, and include an investigation on how young people can take a more active role in the selection of the location and in the planning process.
Next, we have seconded an amendment on the concept of Duty to God, we hope the wordings will be something of a broader picture that respect all religions and spiritual developments.
Last but not least, we have brought up a draft resolution on youth involvement in the decision making on the location of the World Scout Moot. As the event is where the young Scouts gather to discuss and share their thoughts, it would be desirable for the youth to have their voice heard in the planning committee, in order to facilitate the concept of youth involvement.
We have had a really fruitful day, we hope our thoughts can construct a positive impact on Scouting.
