FOXY BLOGGING - FOX TEAM
Discussing the day : Trends of the World – affecting Scouts – Reaction to the sessions – Focus on Education:

When we were discussing the sessions and trying to decide which topic concerned us the most, we pretty quickly realized that already this task was alsmot impossible to solve as we are such a diverse group.

We decided to discuss Education as it’s a big issue for everyone, because of different reasons and considering the different background knowledge all of us have. It was nice to see how all the poeple in the group think about it.

Here you’ll find some examples:

Phillipines: "It’s all linked, children can’t go to schools, because they don’t have enough food"

Brazil; "We suffer under a lack of quality basic education“

Denmark & Ireland & Finland: "Over-education as an issue also linked to un-employment“

Turkey: "Our educationnal system has made a big improvement for women“

Bosnia-Herzegovina: "It’s still very hard for some people to access University"

To sum it up, we want to share this quote with our brothers and sisters in Scouting:

"Scouting makes fantastic people, not smart people, not rich people, but fantastic people!"
