“Over the last triennium, the Youth Advisors had the opportunity to participate in the meetings of the World Scout Committee, served as members of several key world-level working groups, task forces and sub-committees. At each of these meetings, the Youth Advisors delivered reports, provided inputs, debated on issues, contributed with perspectives. In short, we were fully engaged in the Committee and its processes, including the interviewing process for the selection of the Secretary General of WOSM, and the creation of a new Strategy for Scouting.
The World Scout Committee has really welcomed the Youth Advisors. We have always been given the opportunity to voice our opinions and it has now become a standard practice to involve us in working groups. We were present at all the world events, such as the Jamboree, the Moot, the 1st World Scout Education Congress as well as regional conferences and events. — Felipe de Paulo, Youth Advisor to the World Scout Committee, Chairperson of the 12th World Scout Youth Forum, in his welcome remarks.
