Scouts of Belgrade with Scout from Majur
Humanitarian aid consisting of canned food, hygiene products and disinfectants, baby food, diapers, towels, clothes, bedding and toys were delivered on 23.05.2014. to families affected by flood in Majur. Next day, on 24.05.2014. bottled drinking water was delivered.
Help from Belgrade was delivered by members of the Scout group "Vasa Čarapić" to help families who did not get any help until then. Representatives of the Scout Association of Belgrade - "Vasa Čarapić" were welcomed by the scouts of Majura with the coordinator Teodora Despotovic.
Complete humanitarian aid was delivered to thirteen families which were most affected by the flood. In these thirteen families there is twenty-three children aged from one month to nine years of age. Two senior citizens who live alone, one of which was left without a roof over his head, also received help.
After the distribution of humanitarian aid we could notice the pleasure and immense gratitude from people who realized that they are not forgotten this time by:
- Austrian organization ÖJAB
- Scout Association of Belgrade
-Scout troop Majur
After this we were contacted by scouts from UK, Mike Flynn and Chris Noble, who wanted to collect funds.
Collected funds were used for buying material that will be used to rebuild home for one of the families. Material was delivered on 07.07.2014.
Help is still needed for many more.
