Main proposed outcomes from the project “Connect, lead, empower”:
- 50 young people (scouts and nonscouts) connected through the Scout method and principles;
- Developed skills of these people for team work, accept differences and social networking;
- Raised awareness of the importance of the local engagement and the role of scouting into the promotion of that particular process;
- Established cooperation with the local elementary school which will host the event and offer participants.
Having in consideration the importance of social networking and awareness for local action, it is of indispensable importance to create tools for connecting and empowering the young people in local communities to think proactive regarding their role and importance there. That is why this project connects young people (both scouts and non scouts) to cooperate in order to overcome the belief that they are incapable of action and change on local level. We are aware that the connection leads to empowering, so the direct beneficiaries will gain skills to make this connectivity positive and materialized for their local communities.
