Operation 5-3-0

9. juin 2014

Scouts participated the Community Clean Up program of Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture every
year held on 4 th Sunday of May. This cleanup program is called “Operation 5-3-0” because first event was
held on May 30 (5-30) and the numbers “5-3-0” are read as GO-MI-ZERO which means Litters Zero by its
sound.

After the Clean Up program, they visited the special nursing home for elderly to clean and polish 100 wheel
chairs. This service has been provided by scouts from Kuki City since 1992 for over 22 years.

There were 38 scouts and 15 adults of Kuki Group 1 and 13 attended this one day program.

We are planning other services such as another Clean Up program in September, Red Cross Donation in
October, End of Year Donation in December and Donation for Supporting the East Japan Disaster Area in
next March.
