Sharps Aware

6th Jun 2014

Members of the Draco Scout Fellowship have been visiting all sections (Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers) to teach them about the dangers of 'sharps' (needles and other drug releated paraphenalia) in the environment. The junior program focuses on what to look out for and what to do if you find 'sharps' with our motto 'Don't Touch it, Don't Touch it, Don't Touch it.' The senior program also looks at managing the risk is a danerous object is found. So far we have delivered 20 programs over the last 6 months and are continuing with it for at least the next six month. The program also includes a camp blanket badge.
