23rd WSJ - Next year, 30 000 Scouts from all over the world will gather in Japan for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree (WSJ). Already last summer, 14 000 participants from 53 countries got a sneak preview of what is to come when participating in the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree which was held at the WSJ campsite.
Now, with less than a year and a half to go, preparations are in full swing and registrations have already opened (and in some cases even closed!) in many countries. To be a participant at a World Scout Jamboree, you need to be 14-17 years old at the time of the event and member of a National Scout Organization. If you are 18 years or older, you can participate as a volunteer staff known as IST (International Service Team).
Are you interested in taking part in the 23rd World Scout Jamboree? Contact your National Scout Organization for more information on how and when to register. For more information and the latest updates about the 23rd World Scout Jamboree, visit the Jamboree website or Facebook page. Many National Contingents also have their own websites and Facebook pages.
General information about World Scout Jamborees can be found under "World Events".
