SABAH SCOUTS' 100 YEARS ANNIVERSARY PROMOTION AND MOP CARNIVAL

The Sabah Scouts Centenary Celebration Promotion Campaign was organized by the Lower Interior Region Sabah Scout Council on June 15th to 17th, 2013 at Beaufort, Sabah, Malaysia.

500 scouts was involved in the celebration which aimed to aid the State Scout Council in promoting the Sate Centenary Scout Celebration which is going to be held on August 12th to 17th 2013 in Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia.

The celebration involved activities such as :

1. Main launching of the celebration on June 16th, 2013.
2. 60 miles hike involving 30 Senior Scouts on June 15th to 16th, 2013.
3. 60 miles rafting involving 30 Rover Scouts on June 15th to 16th, 2013.
4. 60 miles cycling involving 30 Rovers and Scout Leaders on June 15th to 16th, 2013.
5. A promotional exhibition of the “Messengers of Peace” initiative.

Each of the 3 groups of hikers, rafters and cyclists carried the numbers 1, 0 and 0 which was later used as props for the launching gimic. All 3 groups were organized to reach the launching venue at exactly the same time.
