The support of the Scout movement to Education has been recognized by the Bolivian Government

The support that the Scout Association of Bolivia has been given for more than a decade to the education of the country it’s now official that several projects will be developed with the partnership of the Education Ministry as a result of an recent agreement.

The Education Ministry and the Scout Association of Bolivia has recently signed an institutional agreement to promote and implement joint actions in Education.
According to the Education Minister Roberto Aguilar, this agreement has a lot of projection and it can also support the certification of the “Levels” of the Scout Association by the Plurinational System of Competency Certification.
German Rocha, Executive Director of the Scout Association of Bolivia, announced that the most important projects to be implemented will be the dissemination of the children and adolescents’ rights, the actions within the Year of the non-violence against children and the diffusion of the Oral Rehydration Therapy that seeks to improve the living conditions of children and adolescents in Public schools.
The Scout Association of Bolivia has 10.000 active members in 8 of the 9 departments in Bolivia, the task ahead is Pando. Meanwhile Cochabamba has the largest number of members.
