2,620 children and young people from the Chile’s Fifth, Sixth and Metropolitan Regions had an 8-day adventure filled with fun, personal development and healthy shared living at Picarquín World Scout Centre, in the beautiful surroundings of the foothills of central Chile.
The Recreational School Camps Programme is operated by the World Organization of the Scout Movement, Interamerican Region. This summer’s Programme ran from 3 January to 7 February, with 429 young Chilean adults looking after the children participating. The Camps are organized under the auspices of the National School Aid and Scholarships Board, a Chilean State agency reporting to the Ministry of Education.
