Scouts and Guides of Finland invited to hoist the Finnish Flag at the Parliament

(SP-FS/Helsinki) - Partiolaisten - Finlands Scouter, the National Scout Organisation in Finalnd, received a second special honour following the UNICEF Award presented to Partio last week (see our story).

Young members from the association were invited to hoist Siniristilippu, the national flag of Finland, at Edunskunta, the Finnish Parliament in Helsinki, yesterday to mark the International Day of the Rights of the Child. Every year on 20 November children and young people around the world celebrate the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on that day in 1989.
