Asia-Pacific Office welcomes Chairman Dr Chao Shou-Po

Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee Chairman Dr Chao Shou-Po is in Manila from 28th to 29th January 2013 and met with the APR Executives, together with Regional Scout Committee member Wendel Avisado.

In his short remarks, he said being new in the position, he wanted to understand the operational aspect of Scouting and considers meeting with the APR staff very useful and informative. He commended the regional staff for coming up with well-prepared meeting.

Major part of the discussions evolved around the organizational structure and responsibilities, Messengers of Peace initiatives, Ticket to Life updates, CNV follow-up, upcoming events, APR Plan 2012-2015, global issues and other operational matters.

Highlight of the visit was his meeting with the former regional Chairman Jejomar C Binay, at the office of the Vice-President of the Republic of the Philippines. The meeting came after his brief stay at the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) where he met with the BSP key leaders. Joining him were Committee member Atty. Wendel Avisado and Scouts of China International Director Chang, Wen-Shing.
