Excelscout 04

Forth International Scout Leaders Training Course Excelscout 04 was held from 29 April to 5 May 2003 at the Eurasia Regional Scout center Krasnokamenka, Ukraine. 21 scouts between 18 and 21 years old from 7 NSOs of the Eurasia Region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Tajikistan) successfully completed a five days training course dealing with the following specific goals:

• Promotion of the values of modern civil society
• Development of their personality and professional competence
• Gaining of experience of efficient international and intercultural communication within the framework of scouting.
The methodological emphasis of the course was on lectures, discussions, workshops, project presentations, as well as on outdoor activities.
Individual follow-up of the commitment made by each participant to transmit at his/her own community level the skills and knowledge acquired during the regional training course. This phase covers a period of at least 6 months. Monitoring by the Eurasia Scout Centre and seminar staff.
