1,300 Scouts joined in an International Agoonoree on Jeju Island in Korea as part of the celebrations of 100 years of Scouting from 24 - 27 May, 2007. It was a great opportunity for Scouts and Scouts with special needs to learn about Jeju Island and cultural activities of Korea. Participants enjoyed a wide range of on site crafts and activities as well as many off site expeditions, exploring local attractions of the volcanic Jeju Island - The World Peace Island.
It was a great opportunity for all Scouts to mix and get to know more about working with Scouts with special needs. Their enthusiasm and gratitude for the activities was very motivating and all of the Scouts learnt more about how to work together in peace and kindness.
Participants were from Korea, Republic of China (Taiwan), Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia and Pakistan. Jeju Island is a popular holiday destination, and will be the location of the upcoming 38th World Scout Conference in 2008.
