Scouting can Shape the World

3rd Aug 2007

People used to speak always about children and young people as the good hope of the future if we bring them up properly, educate them and if we put into their minds new concepts of love of peace and hate of war and provide them with modern science so that they may be the scientists of tomorrow. But the question will be: how will our future be? The answer is that we make this future. We can make it ever bright, full of work, activities, science and love or vise versa. Everyone acts according to his understanding, environment and culture.

Future is in prescience but we can prepare for it through learning, reading making friends and through many practices in general life. When we work today sincerely and with marked efforts, the fruit of our efforts – which is our future – will be better and wonderful.
Every institution has a role in shaping this future. The school has a role, the family has a role, the scout has a role, too, since it builds the spirit of brotherhood, insistence so as to achieve the ultimate goal and the spirit of fair competition and building the moral side of the scout who will be the man of tomorrow and the guides who will be the mothers of tomorrow so that there will be a better society for a better world and for a glorious future. As scouts, we have to raise the awareness of people towards the issue of the future that we seek and we tell them that it is ours, but please help us to plan for it, since you are older than we are and more experienced than us, when the future is made for us and when we make future by ourselves, we help in the advancement of civilization and we can transmit it to our sons.
To conclude my article, I say that the religions and traditions of every people carry morals and concepts that help them to make a better future which is ours today and tomorrow they will be our sons.
