International Alliance Against Hunger
The International Alliance Against Hunger (IAAH) is a global partnership that aims to fulfill the World Food Summit and the Millennium Development Goals: the elimination of world hunger.
The aim of IAAH is of particular interest to World Scouting for two reasons. Not only is the eradication of global hunger a highly important issue, but a partnership with IAAH is also a natural outgrowth of the Scout's involvement with the UN Millennium Campaign and FAO. World Scouting's involvement in IAAH began in 1994 when a Scout representative participated in the Ad-Hoc Working Group and was involved in developing a strategic plan of action for IAAH.
