New generation of trainers in the Balkans
A first seminar for the second level instructors (equivalent to a Course for Assistant Leader Trainer) was held from 25 to 28 November 2010 in Panonija, small village in the North of Serbia, as part of tailored support to Serbia which was extended by the Region to include 31 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYRO Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia who had an opportunity to improve their knowledge, skills and attitudes in the area of Leader Training development.
Besides traditional learning methods, the participants had an opportunity to participate in a pilot eLearning and to hear a lot of practical advice from experienced trainers.
The WOSM - European Region provided a large part of the budget and created the planning team, inviting trainers from Portugal and Ireland and two members of the European Regional Office staff.
The advanced training for the candidates who have commenced on this progression is planned for the first weekend of April. Before that, they will work on personal projects and undertake some individual learning, eLearning and learning by doing.
The Planning Team have captured the presentations and learning inputs and is ready to share them with those aiming to organise similar training.
